A Retail Academy & Industry Networking Event
Interbike and Sea Otter Classic are partnering to deliver the most innovative and valuable dealer symposium in the history of the bicycle industry this coming spring. The IBD Summit is timed to coincide with the Bicycle Leadership Conference and the legendary Sea Otter Classic held in Monterey, California. The new event will feature top-level keynote speakers, advanced retail education and multiple networking opportunities with the nation’s premier retailers. A limited number of key suppliers will also be on hand for first looks at new products from some of the industry’s leading brands. Top experts in their fields will address advanced topics of interest to successful retailers who have already mastered the basics of running successful businesses. In addition to the educational sessions, attendees will have opportunities to network with their peers and suppliers on scenic coastal bicycle rides and at a joint IBD-BLC dinner at the world famous Monterey Bay Aquarium. Retailers will also be able to experience the largest consumer bicycle festival and expo at the Sea Otter Classic. While focused on educating retailers, the IBD Summit will give retailers the opportunity to get an early peak at 2013 products from sponsoring suppliers. Retailers will be able to visit with brand representatives to gain valuable early product knowledge, learn what they can expect to see in their stores in the coming year and give important product feedback to the assembled manufacturers. Mark your calendars for this exiting new event for retailers and register now.Highlights of the Education include:

“I put my soul into what goes on inside U Bikes. I’m never satisfied. However, if I didn’t look outside for help I’d be crazy. This is a fresh and intelligent opportunity to learn and connect. And the riding is killer, too.”
Douglas Emerson,

“I always try to invest in myself and my business. My peers are dealing with the same crazy challenges all across the country. Connecting with them one-to-one in a whole new way is priceless.”

"The IBD Summit sounds like just the kind of graduate level education we need. Retailers that just try to protect the way things worked in the past are going to struggle. Combining true experts from outside our industry with networking opportunities to share strategies with the leaders in our industry, sounds like something I can’t afford to miss."
