Las Vegas Review-Journal | New Vegas business on a roll at Interbike show (Sep. 10, 2014)
(Sep. 10, 2014) In a far corner of a vast floor of more than 1,000 Interbike exhibitors, squeezed between fire exits, trade show rookies Lance and Lynn Sisson set up shop early Wednesday morning. The first-time exhibitors from Las Vegas, who own 11nine Fat Bikes, were nervous. It was 8 a.m. at the Mandalay Bay
Convention Center on the Strip’s south end, and the married couple had just rolled in six mountain bikes with megabig fat tires they assembled in their home garage in the northwest valley. “It’s been extremely nerve-racking,” Lynn Sisson, 46, said of the days leading to the massive bicycle trade show held each September in Las Vegas. “We haven’t slept in days.” Her 48-year-old husband explained why: “Did we build something that everyone will like, or did we build something only I like?” Any first-time exhibitor at a big Las Vegas trade show knows that feeling. Las Vegas Review-Journal | As the wheel turns: lookey-loos welcome at Interbike (Sep. 12, 2014)
(Sep. 12, 2014) For years, Interbike, the U.S. bicycle industry’s premier trade show, held annually in Las Vegas, has been all about bicycle shop owners visiting bike manufacturers and ordering new inventory from exhibitors. Bicitech | Interbike 2014, the show's future (Sep. 15, 2014)
(Sep. 15, 2014) In the States everything is entertainment, even an exhibition. It was concluded in these days of Interbike, the bicycle showroom dedicated to embedded, in rapid succession, Eurobike between late August and late September Expobike. The appointment of Las Vegas is the key moment to take stock of the market beyond the ocean, in what remains, for size and spending power, the second largest market after the Asian giant. But if in old Europe a fair, as rich and full, you can not deviate too much from what is a plot statement (exhibit products and events contour); in Nevada City event becomes the show. Proof of this are the 2014 Interbike Award , which is awarded in an evening awards show conducted by the famous (in America) comedian Alonzo Bodden and whose tickets have been sold in a pre-flash (now sold out).
