- Sessions Include Research Findings, Market Trend Discussions, Legislative Updates, and Training Opportunities -

SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO, Calif. – September 7, 2016 – Interbike, the largest bicycle industry trade show in North America, today announced a full schedule of up-to-date content surrounding the growing category of ebikes within its Electric Theatre, epowered by Bosch, at the show beginning in two weeks. These free sessions are presented by many of the top experts in the world of ebikes today and will provide valuable insights to retailers and suppliers alike.

According to a recent BPSA report, the ebike category has nearly doubled its growth in dollars from $16.7 million in the first half of 2016 to $31.8 million through the first six months of 2017. Units shipped have also nearly doubled, from 8,213 in the first half of 2016 to 15,930 through the first half of the year.

“The ebike category is clearly here to stay, as evidenced in these exciting numbers over the past two years,” said Pat Hus, Vice President, Interbike. “Having just returned from Eurobike this week and seeing what is happening with ebikes in Europe, the opportunities that exist for North America are staggering. Our jobs as tradeshow producers is to help facilitate this opportunity for both retailers and suppliers. Much is changing in this fast-paced segment and everyone needs to stay on top of trends and where things are going. The content in the Electric Theatre will give everyone those insights and tools to be successful in the category.”

Seminars will run daily from 10am-4pm at the presentation stage located in Hall D near The Circuit test track. Examples of some of the content include:
